"It is so important to me to have sustainability at the forefront of my career going forward as it’s truly the one way to help and assist the future of our planet."

I love the wine industry because it combines science, culture, and community. Working in the Barossa Valley has given me hands-on experience in wine analysis, customer service, and biodynamic and organic winemaking. I thrive on learning new skills, meeting people, and being part of a community that values both the land and the people who care for it.

It is important to me to have sustainability at the forefront of my career going forward as it is truly the one way to secure the future of our planet.

With this Scholarship, I want to travel to Bordeaux, France, to immerse myself in old-world winemaking, sustainable viticulture, and French culture. Seeing how international markets operate and learning directly from winemakers will expand my skills, deepen my understanding of sustainability, and strengthen my contribution to the wine industry.

“Hannah shows excellent insight into sustainable practices within her industry and understands their wider environmental and social implications. She demonstrates a genuine passion for sustainability, with clear commitment to learning, gaining international experience, and contributing positively to her field”
