Sustainability is an important part of my and everyone else’s future if we want to maintain the quality of life we have now and for future generations.

I enjoy being an electrician because every day brings challenges that push me to improve. Working mainly in the residential space, I hold myself to a high standard and take pride in producing quality work that I am happy to put my name on. I’ve recently started installing solar panels and batteries, which is more physical but rewarding, and it gives me the chance to improve in an area that is becoming more important for the future of the trade.

With this Scholarship, I want to travel to Canada to learn how their electricians work with renewable energy and sustainable housing. Canada generates most of its power from hydro and other renewables, and I would like to see how those systems operate in practice. The chance to learn their methods would broaden my skills and help me bring new ideas back to Australia.

Benjamin shows a clear passion for sustainable practices in the electrical trade. He is eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and apply innovative solutions. His commitment to professional growth and environmental responsibility is strong, and he aims to use this opportunity to make a positive impact.”
