“It is one of the greatest human experiences to tend to nature and create spaces that connect both mother nature and humankind: It defines our relationship with our world.”

As a young horticulturist, I strive to learn how our industry can adapt to climate change and reduce its impact.

This opportunity will allow me to gain global connections, learn from leaders in sustainability, and see how green spaces support both the environment and human wellbeing. I am particularly interested in gardens for education and rehabilitation.

With this Scholarship, I hope to travel to gardens that place sustainability, climate change adaptations and human wellbeing at the forefront such as The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh and Thrive Birmingham where they are pioneering change and building resilience for future generations across many spheres of horticulture.
